The Press Corpse

By reading this lyrics to a song by Anti-Flag, called The Press Corpse, it makes me think of 1984 in a way, it feels like it’s describing what Winston is going through and what’s going on at the time, how the Ministry of Truth is trying to make everyone forget things that happened in the past.
In this song the government says “We don’t want to talk about it!”, and in 1984 neither does the Ministry of Truth and they’ll do whatever they have to, in order to hide the truth. Even if they have to erase every documentation of that.

I really like this blog, good song btw. it does make me think of 1984, but it makes me think of the real world more than the book. The book could have been so much better.
